If you wish to study with us in the Art Studies and Media Philosophy programme hosting our research group on artificial intelligence KIM (in German: Künstliche Intelligenz und Medienphilosophie), all necessary information on the application procedure can be found here. The curriculum in Critical AI Studies led by Prof. Matteo Pasquinelli comprises courses for undergraduate and graduate students with a focus on media philosophy and the history, theory, and design of artificial intelligence.
The degrees Diplom and Magister are equivalent to the internationally recognized degrees Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) and Master of Arts (M.A.). For first-year students, the study programme begins with a general orientation year. At the end of the third academic year they take the intermediate examination and at the end of the fifth academic year they take the final examination. Students with a suitable Bachelor’s degree are usually admitted directly into the fourth year of study and take the final examination at the end of the fifth year. Admission to the first, second or third academic year is also possible.
