KIM research group at HfG has received the “Corona Crisis & Beyond” grant (endowed with 125.000 EUR) by Volkswagen Stiftung within the framework of the “AI and the Society of the Future” program.

PhD students of HfG Karlsruhe and partner universities are invited to apply and investigate the role of AI models and knowledge models in general in predicting and mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research projects will focus on the fields of contact-tracing apps, global logistics, on-line education and humanitarianism, resulting in four publications and a symposium on the trustworthiness and in/stability of modeling techniques.
