Paolo Caffoni and Arif Kornweitz present two posters at the ‘Corona Crisis and Beyond – Perspectives for Science, Scholarship and Society’ forum of the Volkswagen Foundation in Hanover.

The posters can be found here:

Arif Kornweitz – Pre-emption as Extractivism: Contact Tracing in the Netherlands

Paolo Caffoni – The Digital Walls of the University: Translating New Metrics of Labour, Education and Mobility in the COVID-19 Crisis

The posters are part of the output of a grant that KIM received in 2020 to study the role of AI and statistical models in the Covid-19 pandemic. The project also included the Breaking Models workshop at Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.

Paolo Caffoni and Arif Kornweitz thank Sascha Freyberg for his supervision and feedback.
