In the final lecture for Module 1 of the complementary studies programme “Connecting Science, Responsibility and Society” of Leuphana University, Dr Sami Khatib welcomes Prof. Dr Matteo Pasquinelli (HfG Karlsruhe) to a dialogue lecture entitled “Who Thinks Abstractly? Labour, Technology and Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
The talk invites a debate between the history of science and technology (HST), science and technology studies (STS) and the legacy of German media theory and cultural techniques studies, focusing on specific schools such as historical materialist epistemology.
The lecture will take place on 27 January 2021 from 12:15 to 13:45 via Zoom. All those interested are cordially invited! The language of the event will be English.
