After receiving the ERC Consolidator grant AIMODELS early this year, professor Matteo Pasquinelli will take up the position of Associate Professor in Philosophy of Science at Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage of Ca’ Foscari University Venice on the 1st of November 2023.

In his goodbye message to HfG, he wrote:

I thank the current Rektorat and all colleagues that supported me in the last years and months. It has been an extensive, challenging, and instructive adventure together and I don’t  know how to condense all we learnt in a few words.

I want to thank in particular the PhD colloquium that has been quite a remarkable laboratory of ideas. As operations come to an end soon, the KIM website will, in any case, remain as an online archive for the future.

I’m sure there will be plenty of opportunities to cross paths again and establish further collaborations between HfG Karlsruhe and Ca’ Foscari Venice.

I am happy to know that as I begin a new experience, HfG is embarking on a path of growth that promises an ambitious future.

For the moment I send my best wishes for the start of the new academic year, Matteo
