Research fellow Ariana Dongus is interviewed for the “Bundesweite Aktionstage Netzpolitik und Demokratie 2020“. The association Selbstbestimmt.Digital e.V. published four interviews on the topic “Das Große hinter dem Kleinen – Gesichtserkennung im Alltag. Komfort, öffentlicher Raum und (Gegen-)Strategien aus Kunst, Politik & Recht“. Questions from a street poll from cities such as Mainz, Hamburg and Berlin were taken into the conversation and discussed by Ariana Dongus as well as Jonas Vollmer, who is an activist, teacher for civic education, researcher and the founder of Selbstbestimmt.Digital e.V.
Selbstbestimmt.Digital e.V. is an association whose goals are to strengthen human rights and civil liberties as well as self-determination in the digital space. Furthermore information about the technological background of the digital world, the challenges of the digitalized reality of life, digital empowerment and the creation of a Critical Mass.
The Bundesweite Aktionstage Netzpolitik und Demokratie 2020 took place from November 10-14. During the four days activity there were events all over Germany, of course also in Baden-Württemberg. The goal of the Action Days is to bring the topic of network policy and democracy more into the public focus nationwide and to promote digital media skills. Partners in this project included the ZKM in Karlsruhe, the Berliner Landeszentrale für politische Bildung and the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Baden-Württemberg.
