We are delighted to announce that Sascha Freyberg has received a research fellowship from the Volkswagenstiftung within the program “Corona Crisis & Beyond” and will join the KIM research group at HfG Karlsruhe.
Freyberg is a PhD candidate at the University of Heidelberg and visiting pre-doctoral fellow at Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. He has a background in the history and philosophy of science and culture and acts as managing editor of the book series Verum Factum on political epistemology. Currently, he is pursuing collaborations on a critical theory of science, political epistemology, and open access initiatives to bring wider attention to the “communism of science” (Merton).
Together with the KIM research group, Freyberg will organize the workshop Breaking Models that will place at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science on the 24th of September 2021.
